Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, serving in the U.S. Congress for Florida's 25th district since 2005, recently addressed several concerns on social media. Graduating from the University of Florida in 1988, Schultz has a long history in public service, and she continues to engage with pressing national and local issues through her communications.

On April 18, 2025, Debbie Wasserman Schultz highlighted the living conditions of servicemembers who are reportedly forced to reside in substandard housing. In a tweet, she said, “Servicemembers too often are forced to live in moldy, insect-infested private housing. Meanwhile, millionaire @SecDef Hegseth uses $50k in taxpayer dollars to repaint his house.”

Later the same day, she turned her attention to recent violence in Florida, where two individuals were killed at Florida State. Her tweet on April 18, 2025, addressed gun control issues: “Two people at @floridastate were killed yesterday - and more hurt - but Republicans in Florida want to get rid of post-Parkland reforms that would make the suspected shooter able to buy a gun legally. We need to keep people safe, not give more access to guns.”

Regarding education policy, Schultz expressed concern over the closure of Head Start offices. In a tweet sent on April 18, 2025, she spoke on the impact of these closures, asserting, "When Trump closed Head Start offices, I joined 33 Democrats to oppose it. Eliminating it was clearly the end goal – now it’s out in the open. With no Head Start, 750K+ families lose childcare overnight. Trump's plans leave our families and children behind."

Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been vocal about a range of issues, from housing conditions to gun control and the importance of educational programs, drawing attention to policies affecting her constituents and beyond.
