On April 4, 2025, Wasserman Schultz criticized Donald Trump in a tweet with "Trump has run six of his businesses into bankruptcy. It seems like he’s trying to make America his seventh." The statement reflects her skepticism toward Trump's business practices and their potential impact on the nation.

The next day, on April 5, 2025, she expressed discontent regarding Trump's economic policies, specifically tariffs. She remarked, "Trump's tariffs are a disaster for American families." indicating her concern over their adverse effects on the economy.

Later the same day, Wasserman Schultz shared a personal anecdote involving a 73-year-old Cuban immigrant and his family situation. In the tweet, she wrote, "He fled Cuba to escape communism. He’s a 73-year-old grandfather with a heart condition. Primary caretaker of his wife with dementia. Sick. Cruel. Traición." This highlights her empathy for immigrants and criticism of policies she perceives as inhumane.
