Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 25th district, has recently shared her perspectives on various pressing issues through social media posts. Her statements address topics ranging from hurricane preparedness to international human rights concerns and military leadership.

On December 11, 2024, Rep. Wasserman Schultz emphasized the importance of enhancing safety measures against increasingly severe hurricanes. She stated, "We must ensure @NOAA can keep us safe as hurricanes get more severe." Highlighting bipartisan efforts with Rep. Franklin, she advocated for investment in new hurricane hunter planes to strengthen these initiatives.

Later that day, she expressed concern over human rights violations in Venezuela following the kidnapping of Jesús Armas by the Maduro regime. In her post dated December 11, 2024, she remarked, "Yesterday, Jesús Armas — a champion of democracy with @ConVZLA & @MariaCorinaYA — was kidnapped by the Maduro regime." She called for the release of over 2,000 political prisoners detained for their pursuit of freedom.

In another statement on December 12, 2024, Rep. Wasserman Schultz criticized comments made by Hegseth regarding his suitability for military leadership roles. She asserted that his views were not misunderstood but rather indicative of his unsuitability to lead the military: "Hegseth's comments weren't 'misconstrued' - they were clear."
