City Of Hollywood recently issued the following announcement.

In-Person and Virtual Public Meeting

Sheridan Street at N 46th Ave. Safety & Intersection Improvement Project

Thursday, July 14 at 6:00 p.m.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four, will conduct a public meeting regarding the proposed improvements at Sheridan Street and North 46 Avenue. This public meeting will be offered in two different formats: virtual and in‐person. The public meeting will have representative available to answer questions. Project information will be available for public viewing. Questions and comments may be submitted prior to the meeting by emailing the Project Manager. The presentation will start at 6:00 p.m. followed by a question-and-answer session.

PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS

• Replace existing signalization strain pole system with mast arms

• Upgrade lighting at the intersection with Light Emitting Diode (LED) fixtures

• Extend the eastbound, westbound, and northbound left‐turn lanes to provide additional vehicle storage

• Repaving the existing roadway

• Replacing and upgrading existing curb sidewalk ramps to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards

• Upgrading signing and pavement markings

• Upgrading pedestrian signals and push buttons

CONSTRUCTION IMPACTS

• Work will be done in phases to reduce the inconvenience to the community

• Lane closures, ramp closures, and detours will occur during non‐peak hours to minimize impacts on traffic

• Access to businesses and residential properties will be maintained at all times during construction

• Night‐time work is expected for pavement resurfacing, widening and construction activities outside of the travel lanes

CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION

• Construction Start Date: Spring 2023

• Anticipated Completion: Fall 2023

• Construction Cost Estimate: $830,000
