The City of Dania Beach Team is proud to share its greatest accomplishments of 2021

City of Dania Beach issued the following announcement on Dec. 30.

The City of Dania Beach Team is proud to share its greatest accomplishments of 2021.  

- Implementation of $45 million parks masterplan beginning with CW Thomas Park.

- Lucky Fish is Coming soon to Dania Beach Ocean Park.  

- Storm Water Drainage projects Citywide:  

The Ocean Park’s drainage project addressed flooding from stormwater and King Tide events on the north end of Ocean Park. 

The Dania Cove / SW 25 Terrace Drainage Improvements addressed flooding from stormwater on the north end of SW 25 Terrace. More @ daniabeachfl.gov/cip

- Spirit Airlines Headquarters in Dania Pointe was approved by the City Commission in September of 2021. The development will include 180,000 SF office space, a 7-story parking garage (998 spaces), a fitness center and cafeteria with a gross square footage of 13,400 SF, a 10,000 SF training facility, and corporate housing for 200 employees. This is all located in the City of Dania Beach, north of Stirling Road, immediately west of I-95.

- The Pier Investment The two-phase, two year project will refurbish the entire 900 foot pier, including decking, undercarriage structure, and lighting.  

- The RISE initiative The Employee R.I.S.E. Standards (Respect, Integrity, Standard of Excellence) provides guidance and set expectations to all employees regarding ethical and professional conduct.  

- The City Adopted the Strategic Plan  - Dania Beach Vision 2021 – 2026 - 2036.  

- Budget Award - The City received its first ever Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award on its first application. More @ daniabeachfl.gov/budget
