On February 15, 2025, Rep. Wasserman Schultz tweeted about the release of Sagui Dekel-Chen, an American citizen who was held hostage by Hamas for 498 days. She expressed joy at his return home and noted her involvement in advocating for his release alongside his family members. Later that day, she criticized former President Donald Trump's actions regarding VA workers in another tweet. She described the firings as an attack on VA healthcare and benefits and accused Republicans of harming veterans through such measures. "Trump’s mass and indiscriminate VA worker firings are yet another assault on VA healthcare and benefits."

In her final tweet of the day, Rep. Wasserman Schultz shared her experience attending an Honor Flight picnic.
