Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 25th district, has been vocal on social media regarding several controversial policies. Her recent tweets have addressed issues ranging from federal efforts to combat terrorism and drug trafficking to immigration and reproductive health care legislation.

On January 22, 2025, Rep. Wasserman Schultz expressed concerns over federal budget reallocations under former President Donald Trump’s administration. She stated, "Trump is defunding federal efforts to stop terrorists and drug traffickers." She questioned the motive behind these changes, asserting that they are being redirected to target "nonviolent migrants in schools, hospitals, and churches," ultimately making "everyone... less safe."

In a subsequent tweet on January 23, 2025, she criticized an executive order by Trump related to citizenship rights. According to her statement, "The Constitution says if you are born in America, you are a citizen, period." She further described the executive order as an insult to America's heritage of immigration.

Later on January 23rd, Rep. Wasserman Schultz turned her attention towards a piece of legislation known as the GOP’s Reproductive Health Care Surveillance Act. In her tweet, she labeled it as "a wolf in sheep’s clothing," suggesting that it spreads misinformation about pregnancy and abortion care. She highlighted its potential impact in Florida by stating that such tragic stories are already prevalent there.
