Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 25th district, shared her views and experiences through a series of tweets on November 23 and 24, 2024. These tweets reflect her stance on health research funding and her participation in local holiday events.

On November 23, Rep. Wasserman Schultz expressed concern over RFK Jr.'s proposal to reduce funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She stated, "RFK Jr. wants to gut @NIH, the world's largest health research funder. Its cancer treatment and disease research save countless lives." As a cancer survivor herself, she described this potential threat as "chilling" and vowed to oppose it at every opportunity.

Later that day, she shared her enjoyment of participating in a holiday event with Mayor Josh Levy in Hollywood. She tweeted, "So fun to kick off this festive season with Mayor @JoshLevyHlwd at the @cohgov’s Holiday Tree Lighting last night!" Rep. Wasserman Schultz expressed gratitude for being part of such celebrations with South Florida families and local leaders.

The following day, November 24, she attended another community event—the "It’s a Wonderful Life in Plantation" Holiday Parade—and shared her experience on social media. She wrote, "I had a great time at the @PlantationFLA 'It’s a Wonderful Life in Plantation' Holiday Parade yesterday!" The congresswoman highlighted how this annual parade brings joy and cheer to the community.
