A Ramadan Reflection from Mayor Dean J. Trantalis Ramadan Mubarak

As we embark on the sacred month of Ramadan, I extend warm greetings and best wishes to our Muslim community here in Fort Lauderdale. Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, selfdiscipline, and communal unity, and it holds profound significance for Muslims around the world.

Ramadan provides an opportunity for introspection and gratitude. It is a time to express appreciation for the blessings in our lives and empathize with those who are less fortunate. The values of sacrifice, compassion, and unity are at the forefront during this holy month.

Let us join together in prayer and reflection, appreciating the diversity that enriches our community. May this month be a time of increased generosity, empathy, and solidarity, not just within the Muslim community but throughout our entire city.

Wishing you and your families a blessed Ramadan.
