City Of Hallandale Beach issued the following announcement on May 22.
Did you know that female mosquitoes can lay up to 300 eggs at a time! Their eggs only need a little as an inch of standing water to hatch. With all the rain we have had recently, combined with the warm weather it creates the perfect environment for mosquito breeding.
We would like to encouraged Residents and Business Owners to regularly inspect their property for any stagnant water that can contribute to an increase in mosquitoes.
