At our Commission meeting tonight, we had several presentations and proclamations:
Our Parks Department under the leadership of Director, Elizabeth Valera and Assistant Director, Billy Neal, was recognized by Commissioner Alexandra P. Davis for the hard work especially during Covid-19, handling distributions and deliveries of food and PPE packages to the community.
Mayor Wayne Messam and the Commission recognized Water Conservation Month, Earth Month, Financial Literacy Month, Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month and National Community Development Week in April.
We also had the drawing of one of the winners of our Water Conservation Challenge! Some cool prizes were won including a smart TV. #itsrighthereinMiramar
