In a series of tweets posted on March 16, 2025, she addressed infrastructure concerns, paid tribute to individuals who have passed away, and recognized the contributions of a former colleague.

On March 16, 2025, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz expressed concern over potential impacts from policy changes by public figures Donald Trump and Elon Musk. She stated that “We have infrastructure, health care, and other vital needs to keep improving Floridians’ lives.” She further warned that “Trump and Musk’s reckless cuts will bring all of it to a halt.”

In another tweet on the same day at 17:52 UTC, Rep. Wasserman Schultz shared her personal connection to breast cancer while mourning an unspecified individual’s passing due to the disease. She wrote “As a breast cancer survivor myself, her loss to this brutal disease is devastating.” The congresswoman added that “She leaves a deep legacy of compassion and accomplishment. May her memory be for a blessing.”

In addition to these reflections, Rep. Wasserman Schultz paid homage to Nita Lowey in another tweet also dated March 16, 2025. Recognizing Lowey’s contributions as a mentor and leader within the Jewish community and for women’s rights, she remarked that Lowey was “A modern day Esther” who served as “the first woman House Appropriations Committee chair.” According to Schultz’s tweet, Lowey was known globally for advocating humanitarian aid and support for Israel.
