Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 25th district since 2005, has shared her views on recent political events through social media. Known for her outspoken stance, Wasserman Schultz criticized former President Donald Trump and expressed condolences for the passing of a fellow public servant.

On March 5, 2025, Wasserman Schultz commented on an anticipated speech by Trump. She stated that “Trump will spew a lot of lies tonight, mostly about made up fraud he and Elon Musk allegedly found.” The congresswoman also pointed out issues she believes Trump will not address, such as grocery prices and health care.

Later that day, she described Trump’s appearance as self-congratulatory. She remarked that “Trump just patted himself on the back for two hours. Boring and unserious.” She further criticized his lack of plans to reduce costs while accusing him of paving the way for tax breaks benefiting billionaires.

In another post from the same day, Wasserman Schultz paid tribute to a late colleague from Houston. She praised his service in various governmental roles: “As Mayor of Houston, in the Texas State House and in Congress, @repsturner was a champion and a fighter for the people of Houston.”
