Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 25th district, has shared a series of tweets addressing various issues from small business challenges to community solidarity and antisemitism.
On June 1, 2025, Rep. Wasserman Schultz highlighted the impact of tariffs on small businesses, stating “Small business owners drive our economy, but Trump’s tariffs hurts their bottom lines.” She expressed pride in hosting a workshop aimed at helping South Florida entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of starting and growing a business amidst what she describes as “Trump’s chaos.”
Later that day, she expressed her commitment to LGBTQ+ rights in celebration of Pride Month. As Vice-Chair of the Equality Caucus, she declared her readiness to celebrate with South Florida’s LGBTQ+ community and pledged to challenge anti-equality policies that threaten these rights. Her tweet read: “As Vice-Chair of the @equalitycaucus, I’m ready to celebrate #PrideMonth2025 with South Florida’s LGBTQ+ community and will always challenge anti-equality policies that attack LGBTQ+ rights.”
On June 2, 2025, Rep. Wasserman Schultz conveyed her condolences regarding an attack in Boulder described as terrorism against Jews. She stated: “My thoughts are with the victims & families impacted by the vicious, cowardly attack in Boulder today.” She called for action against antisemitism and emphasized the importance of holding those responsible accountable.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been a member of Congress since replacing Peter Deutsch in 2005 and previously served in both the Florida Senate and House of Representatives. Born in Queens, New York, she now resides in Weston.
