Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 25th district, recently shared her thoughts on various issues through social media posts. Her statements covered topics ranging from historical education to international trade and healthcare research.

On February 3, 2025, Schultz paid tribute to Marion Weisel for her translation work of Elie Wiesel's literature and other projects that educated many about the Holocaust. She emphasized the importance of remembering Weisel's contributions: "Marion Weisel's translation of her husband, Elie's, work & her other projects helped educate a generation on the horrors of the Holocaust & the resilience of her fellow survivors."

The following day, February 4, 2025, Schultz criticized former President Donald Trump’s tariff policies with Canada and Mexico. She stated: "Of course Trump delayed his dumb, inflationary tariffs that targeted key allies, Canada and Mexico." Schultz expressed concerns about weakened alliances and economic instability resulting from these tariffs.

Later on February 4, she addressed concerns over potential changes in leadership at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) amid World Cancer Day discussions. Schultz declared: "Cancer treatment and disease research save countless lives. On World Cancer Day, GOP senators appear ready to install a man who wants to gut @nih..." She affirmed her commitment as a cancer survivor to support ongoing funding for cancer research.
