CARES Act Business Grant Application Portal Opens November 9th
Broward County will officially open its CARES Act Small Business and Non-Profit Grant Application Portal on Monday, November 9th through Monday, November 16th. The Board of County Commissioners allocated $35 million from the County's federal CARES Act funds to support this grant program; $25 million for small businesses and $10 million for non-profits.
The program will award grants in the amounts of $5,000, $10,000, and $15,000. The grants can only be used for costs incurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, the County is offering free technical assistance to applicants starting October 30th.

Broward County's Small Business CARES GRANT Program
The purpose of Broward County's Small Business CARES GRANT program is to aid small businesses that employ 20 employees or less via a working capital grant in support of their general operations. Grants to small businesses under the program will be used to reimburse the cost of business interruption related expenditures caused by COVID-19's required closures and / or operating restrictions.
Broward County's Non-Profit CARES GRANT Program
The purpose of Broward County's non-profit CARES GRANT program is to aid non-profits that employ 25 employees or less via a working capital grant in support of their general operations. Grants to non-profits under the program will be used to reimburse the cost of business interruption related expenditures caused by COVID-19 required closures and / or operating restrictions.
