Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a Congresswoman representing Florida’s 25th district, has made several statements on social media. Rep. Wasserman Schultz, who has served in Congress since 2005, addressed a range of political and environmental issues in her recent tweets.

On April 21, 2025, she expressed her concerns about the economy, stating, “Trump and Republicans are busy crashing the economy, raising prices even higher, and leading us straight into a recession. I’m focused on making life more affordable for Florida families.”

The following day, she criticized Pete Hegseth, asserting on April 22, 2025, that “Pete Hegseth’s incompetence is a threat to our national security. He needs to resign immediately.”

Also on April 22, 2025, coinciding with Earth Day, Wasserman Schultz addressed environmental concerns, commenting that “Trump’s war on NOAA, climate research, safe air & water law rollbacks – it’s all proof Republicans don’t care about your safety. But I refuse to abandon you or our planet. This #EarthDay, I’ll fight for climate research, anti-flooding efforts and clean food, air & water rules.”

Debbie Wasserman Schultz was born in Queens, New York, in 1966 and currently resides in Weston. She graduated from the University of Florida in 1988. Prior to serving in the U.S. Congress, she held positions in the Florida Senate and Florida House of Representatives.
