On Wednesday, March 26, former City-Pembroke Pines Charter High School standout Alanah Velazquez’s current college team, the Northern Illinois Huskies, lost 11-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Northwestern Wildcats.

The game took place at Sharon J. Drysdale Field. This was their first matchup against the Wildcats this season.

The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 2 p.m. at Mary M. Bell Field against Ohio Bobcats.
