On Sunday, April 6, former City-Pembroke Pines Charter High School standout Alanah Velazquez’s current college team, the Northern Illinois Huskies, won 4-0 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Bowling Green Falcons.

The game took place at Mary M. Bell Field. This was their third matchup against the Falcons this season.

The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 3 p.m. at Nan Harvey Field against Buffalo Bulls.
