Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 25th district since 2005, recently highlighted community events and milestones in a series of social media posts.
On February 1, 2026, Wasserman Schultz acknowledged Black History Month’s centennial by stating, “February marks 100 years of Black History Month, and their triumphs we celebrate are America’s story. My full statement: https://t.co/5EH8hkPPJL”.
Later that day, she visited Pixels on Target’s Sunrise facility and wrote, “Great visit to Pixels on Target’s Sunrise facility, where this company helps our servicemembers on the battlefield. As lead Democrat on the Military Construction & VA Appropriations subcommittee, I always ensure our troops have all they need to protect us. https://t.co/nhs1DQh79f”.
On February 2, Wasserman Schultz participated in a community service event at her synagogue. She posted, “So glad to join Temple Beth Emet, my synagogue, for their annual Mitzvah Day! It was all about acts of kindness, so we came together to make dog treats to donate to the Humane Society of Broward County. https://t.co/yR0ffBqV18”.
Wasserman Schultz has served in Congress since replacing Peter Deutsch in 2005 and is recognized for her long-standing commitment to public service at both state and federal levels. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the Florida Senate from 2000 to 2004 and the Florida House of Representatives from 1992 to 2000. Born in Queens, New York in 1966 and currently residing in Weston, she graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988.
