U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who represents Florida’s 25th district, made several statements on January 14, 2026, via her official Twitter account criticizing public figures Kristi Noem and Delcy Rodriguez.

In a post from January 14, Wasserman Schultz wrote: “Kristi Noem is unfit for her job, as she demonstrates over and over again. Her leadership led to drowning kids, deported American citizens, and a mother of three being shot in cold blood. She needs to go.”

Later the same day, she commented on Venezuelan political figures, stating: “Delcy Rodriguez is a criminal, guilty of the same crimes against humanity as Maduro. We should be advancing the transition to democracy, not normalizing the same dictatorship that has tortured & murdered Venezuelans with impunity & continues their brutal persecution to this day.”

Debbie Wasserman Schultz has served in the U.S. Congress since 2005 after replacing Peter Deutsch and currently represents Florida’s 25th district. Prior to her time in Congress, she was a member of both the Florida Senate and House of Representatives. She was born in Queens, New York in 1966 and resides in Weston. Schultz earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida in 1988.
