Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 25th district since 2005, addressed several national and international issues in a series of tweets on September 26, 2025.
In a post at 13:37 UTC, Wasserman Schultz criticized Republican leaders for their approach to healthcare policy. She wrote, “Republicans’ billionaire donors can afford rising healthcare costs, but most American families can’t. GOP leaders need to come to the table and negotiate a spending deal that puts a stop to their spiraling healthcare crisis.”
Later the same day, at 16:21 UTC, she commented on former President Donald Trump’s conduct and ongoing controversies involving high-profile figures. Wasserman Schultz stated, “Trump abuses his power to target enemies and rebrand vengeance as ‘justice.’ But where’s the justice for Epstein’s victims? Or Trump’s billions in corrupt gifts from foreign actors? Or his border czar taking bribes? The law must serve all of us, not just one petty tyrant.”
In an evening tweet posted at 20:08 UTC, Wasserman Schultz highlighted efforts by lawmakers addressing online antisemitism. She wrote, “Today, the co-chairs of the Interparliamentary Task Force on Combating Online Antisemitism released the following statement on online antisemitic attacks against Costa Rican legislator Eli Feinzaig:”
Wasserman Schultz has held her congressional seat since succeeding Peter Deutsch in 2005 and previously served in both chambers of Florida’s state legislature. She was born in Queens, New York in 1966 and resides in Weston. A graduate of the University of Florida with a BA earned in 1988, she continues to play an active role on issues including healthcare policy and combating antisemitism.
