U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who has represented Florida’s 25th district in Congress since 2005, used her social media platform to highlight youth engagement, voting rights, and advocacy for women and families in a series of posts made on March 22 and 23, 2026.

On March 22, Wasserman Schultz wrote: “It’s critical that we empower our next generation of leaders to get involved and help make a difference in our communities. Great to meet student leaders from @miramaryac as part of @CloseUp_DC!” The congresswoman met with student leaders as part of the Close Up Washington DC program.

Later the same day, she addressed voting practices in Florida: “We’ve had safe, secure vote-by-mail in Florida for decades, with no issues. Republican attacks on mail-in voting are just another voter suppression tactic.”

The following morning, Wasserman Schultz posted about efforts to counter policies affecting women’s access to voting: “Organizing to fight back against policies that make it harder for women to vote, like the SAVE Act, is critical. Great to meet with @NCJW and discuss how we can work together to build a better world for women, children, and families.”

Wasserman Schultz has been active in U.S. politics for decades. She previously served in the Florida Senate from 2000 to 2004 and the Florida House of Representatives from 1992 to 2000 before joining Congress. Born in Queens, New York in 1966 and now residing in Weston, she earned her BA from the University of Florida in 1988.
