Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a longstanding member of Congress representing Florida’s 25th District, shared her perspectives on a series of topics through a series of tweets recently. Schultz, who has been serving since 2005, joined other prominent Democrats in voicing their stance on the first 100 days of the Trump administration, highlighted the significance of Jewish American Heritage Month, and addressed concerns about bias on Wikipedia.
In a tweet posted on April 30, 2025, Schultz expressed her solidarity with House and Senate Democrats, stating that she “proudly joined @HouseDemocrats and @SenateDems on the steps of the Capitol to highlight the cruelty of Trump’s first 100 days,” and pledged to continue fighting for the public.
The following day, on May 1, Schultz took to Twitter to express her enthusiasm for Jewish American Heritage Month. She tweeted, “Happy #JewishAmericanHeritageMonth! This month, we celebrate the contributions that Jewish Americans continue making to the rich fabric of our great nation. #OurSharedHeritage.”
On the same day, Schultz turned her attention to concerns about Wikipedia, citing a report of bias and antisemitism. She highlighted research from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), stating that “@ADL research shows it” and asserted that “@Wikipedia must enforce its rules and curb coordinated campaigns to manipulate content.” She further noted that she, alongside Rep. Don Bacon, led a bipartisan call to seek answers on the measures Wikipedia will take addressing these issues.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida, earned in 1988. She was born in Queens, New York, in 1966 and currently resides in Weston.
