U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who represents Florida’s 25th district in Congress, recently addressed several issues on her social media account, including the impact of tariffs on small businesses, Holocaust remembrance, and protections for immigrant families.
On April 13, 2026, Wasserman Schultz wrote: “I convened South Florida small business owners to hear about Trump tariff impacts. They say his massive tariffs hurt bottom lines, crimp supplies and raise prices. We must make life easier for these job creators. I’ll do all I can to help them and curb Trump’s erratic tariffs.”
The following day, April 14, she marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day with a statement: “Today is Yom HaShoah, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a time to honor the Auschwitz-Birkenau liberation and reclaim justice for the millions who died at the hands of hate. We must always speak up to ensure such horrors are never repeated.”
Later that same day, Wasserman Schultz commented on her legal advocacy regarding Temporary Protected Status (TPS): “I just filed a Supreme Court amicus brief to defend TPS with @RepPressley, @SenMarkey, @ChrisVanHollen & 180+ Congressional Democrats. l’ll always fight to protect law-abiding, hard-working immigrant families from being ripped apart or sent back to dangerous conditions.”
Wasserman Schultz has represented Florida’s 25th district since 2005 after serving in both the Florida Senate and House of Representatives. She was born in Queens in 1966 and currently resides in Weston. A graduate of the University of Florida with a BA earned in 1988, she succeeded Peter Deutsch in Congress.
