On April 17, 2025, Schultz expressed her condolences following a tragic event at Florida State University. She tweeted, “My heart goes out to the students, faculty and staff of @FloridaState. Hoping for a quick recovery for those injured. Thank you to the first responders helping people to safety. We need to end gun violence NOW and put a stop to the school shootings that plague our country.”
Later that day, she highlighted concerns about healthcare among her constituents, mentioning a specific resident’s worries over Medicaid. Schultz stated, “My constituents like Marie, a member of SEIU 1991 from Pembroke Pines, worry what will happen to Medicaid. I’ll keep fighting and using every tool available to demand Republicans keep their hands off our health care.”
