City-Pembroke Pines Charter High School standout Alanah Velazquez’s college team lost in NCAA Division I softball game on Saturday, April 26

On Saturday, April 26, former City-Pembroke Pines Charter High School standout Alanah Velazquez’s current college team, the Northern Illinois Huskies, lost 3-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Akron Zips.

The game took place at Mary M. Bell Field. This was their third matchup against the Zips this season.

The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 at 1 p.m. at Mary M. Bell Field against Western Michigan Broncos.
