On Wednesday, April 16, former City-Pembroke Pines Charter High School standout Alanah Velazquez’s current college team, the Northern Illinois Huskies, won 7-6 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Bradley Braves.

The game took place at Mary M. Bell Field. This was their first matchup against the Braves this season.

The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 19 at 10 a.m. at Judith K. Devine Diamond against Kent State Golden Flashes.
