On Saturday, March 15, former City-Pembroke Pines Charter High School standout Alanah Velazquez’s current college team, the Northern Illinois Huskies, lost 11-7 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Central Michigan Chippewas.

The game took place at Mary M. Bell Field. This was their third matchup against the Chippewas this season.

The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 21 at 3 p.m. at Miami Softball Stadium against Miami RedHawks.
