On Saturday, April 19, former City-Pembroke Pines Charter High School standout Alanah Velazquez’s current college team, the Northern Illinois Huskies, won 9-8 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Kent State Golden Flashes.

The game took place at Judith K. Devine Diamond. This was their first matchup against the Golden Flashes this season.

The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 20 at 11:50 a.m. at Judith K. Devine Diamond against Kent State Golden Flashes.
